With one foot in HR and one foot in Software delivery, I worked with Chef's Leadership, Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Consulting teams to build culture, process, tools that empower teams to deliver great software. I help team organize effectively, identify customer/community needs, and build features that solve core problems. I did this by brining Coaching and Facilitation, Product management, Kanban, XP, and Manager training to foster collaboration and customer centered design.
As a coach, I worked with Engineering and Product leadership to build transparency, safety, and collaboration. I designed a set of key management practices and team processes which brought alignment around business and community needs, consistency and care to management practices, and greater agency to engineering teams.
As a DevOps transformation coach I worked with Chef's customers developing their ability to deliver quality software aligned with customer need. Working on site in large Banks, Clothing Companies, and Technology firms I helped them to acquire and scale their Enterprise DevOps capabilities. Working with engineering leaders (CIO, CTO, Digital, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and UX leads) to get closer to their customers, reduce scope, complexity, and time to market, reduce waste, and increase the quality and value of the code they ship.
